Fisherman’s
HOUSE
CASE STUDY HOUSE NO. 7 2026
Prologue
The contemporary world is becoming increasingly inhospitable to idealists and dreamers; returns to reality are often abrupt, or even brutal. This time, however, the descent proved unexpectedly gentle.
This house originated as an ideological competition entry. Conceived initially as a manifesto rather than a building, it was elevated on three-metre columns and deliberately detached from the ground.
Now it rests on a solid foundation, fully grounded, both physically and conceptually.
This project constitutes a celebration. It marks a decisive passage from the speculative domain of digital design into the reality. A conscious step toward material presence, construction, and permanence. Toward an Architecture.
This house was designed for the one who taught me how to sail — not across water, but through the shifting currents of life. Not how to avoid storms, but how to read them. Not how to drift, but how to set direction.
Wind, patience, correction.
The formal articulation of the building emerges from an intentional exploration of the malleable potential of concrete. Rather than reinforcing its conventional association with tectonic severity, the material is used to generate softened curvatures that modulate light and shadow across the envelope. The concrete is integrally pigmented in a green–blue tonality, evoking the depth of aquatic strata while mitigating the perceptual rawness of untreated mass. The gradual patination of the façades is anticipated and embraced as an inherent phase of material evolution. On the intentionally textured exterior, atmospheric exposure will not be read as degradation, but as an accretive process that enriches the architectural expression.
The flat roof is appropriated as an accessible terrace, extending the inhabitable plane vertically and establishing an alternative vantage point toward the surrounding landscape. Access is provided via an external steel stair. The balustrade, composed of steel uprights and metal mesh, is designed as a demountable system. This reversible assembly introduces a degree of lightness and adaptability while subtly referencing the typology embedded in the project’s title.

SCALE MODEL
This project was developed as an independent conceptual study. Although not commissioned, it has been resolved to a level that allows for further technical development and realization. The design remains open to adaptation in response to site-specific conditions and individual requirements.
